Addressing the open  programme organized by Bhaktapur Christian Samyukta Sangati on 22 December 07 in Bhaktapu Darbar Square to celebrate Christmas, NCCN General Secretary Dr. K.B. Rokaya said that Nepal Government should announce 25 December, Christmas, as national holiday for it is the right of all  religious community , includding christians, to enjoy  holiday in their gretaest festivals as the country has been declared a secular state.

Speaking at the programme leaders of Hindu, Buddhist, Islam and Bahai community  and political party leaders expressed their solidarity to the NCCN voice of announcing national holiday in Christmas.
